1. Introduction
Raw Ore to Blocks (ROtB) is a datapack that allows you to smelt raw ore blocks into blocks of material saving you a bit of time and fuel.
2. Compatibility
At the moment datapack is compatible with Vanilla Minecraft on versions from 1.20 to 1.21.5. If you want me to add support for newer game versions, some Fabric mod, please inform me on the Support Discord.
3. Downloading and Installation
You can download this datapack from Modrinth.
After downloading ROtB, please follow the standard Datapack installation guide in order to install it on your Minecraft world or server.
4. Recipes added by the “Raw Ore to Blocks”
ROtB adds 6 new recipes that allows you to smelt raw ore blocks in furnace and blast furnace.
Time to smelt every block is equal to the time needed to smelt 8 raw ores. That means, that you will be saving time and fuel by smelting blocks instead of items.
4.1. Smelting (furnace)
4.1.1. Block of Copper
Time: 1600 ticks
Using this recipe will give player advancement:[Efficient way to smelt copper]
4.1.2. Block of Iron
Time: 1600 ticks
Using this recipe will give player advancement:[Red hot iron block]
4.1.3. Block of Gold
Time: 1600 ticks
Using this recipe will give player advancement:[Smelting like a piglin]
4.2. Blasting (Blast furnace)
4.2.1. Block of Copper
Time: 800 ticks
Using this recipe will give player advancement:[Efficient way to smelt copper]
4.2.2. Block of Iron
Time: 800 ticks
Using this recipe will give player advancement:[Red hot iron block]
4.2.3. Block of Gold
Time: 800 ticks
Using this recipe will give player advancement:[Smelting like a piglin]
5. Advancements added by “Raw Ore to Blocks”
ROtB adds 4 advancements. One of them doesn’t give any reward and have a function of being a root of other advancements. Below you will find more information about advancements in the most recent version of this datapack.
NOTICE!!! The advancement has been changed in the most recent update! If the advancement screen looks different in your game, please go to ROtB’s modrinth page and download the most recent patch for your Minecraft version!
5.1. Smelting blocks 101
Granted after installing datapack on your world. It’s a root of other advancements. It’s not being announced to the chat and doesn’t show toast notification. It also doesn’t give any reward.
5.2. Efficient way to smelt copper
Parent: Smelting blocks 101
Granted to player after smelting or blasting raw copper block.
It rewards player with 15 experience points.
5.3. Red hot iron block
Parent: Smelting blocks 101
Granted to player after smelting or blasting raw iron block.
It rewards player with 15 experience points.
5.4. Smelting like a piglin
Parent: Smelting block 101
Granted to plater after smelting or blasting raw gold block.
It rewards player with 15 experience points.
