As you may know, the 2021 pre-season of League of Legends has been ongoing for a while now, and the official start of Season 11 is just around the corner, beginning on January 8! In this post, I will briefly go over what changes Riot has introduced during the pre-season.
New Shop and Items
One of the changes introduced by Riot Games during the pre-season was a new shop and item mechanics. The shop is now more beginner-friendly and includes a “recommended items” section, where the game suggests good items to buy against opponents.
New items were also added to the game and they have been reclassified in the shop into: basic, epic, legendary, and mythic categories! Importantly, players are limited to having only one mythic item in their inventory, and they cannot have two of the same legendary items.

New Champion: Rell
Well, I can’t say much about Rell since I haven’t tested her yet. She is a support champion, and you can learn about her mechanics from the champion presentation below.
Additionally, during the pre-season, there was an event about warrior queens, where the rewards were quite nice.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the start of the season!
