Finding a good mobile games to play in 2025 is hard. Nearly every single one is infested with a huge number of ads and made in a rush on Samsung’s smart fridge. Their only goal is to make some quick money from potential players either on microtransactions or ads.
So, I’ve made a list of few games that – in my opinion – are worth playing on your mobile device. Some of them were released a long time ago but are still good and most of them still get updates.
Hill Climb Racing

Game offers 38 upgradable vehicles with an option to create your own ones. It also has 38 unique unlockable maps. Hill Climb Racing is a simple, but engaging game that will suit both younger and older audiences.
There’s also a sequel to this game, which also is worth checking out, but if you want cleaner experience with less microtransactions, you should pick the original one.
What more to say? This is a brilliant game that gets updates to this very day.

Nonograms Katana

Google Play rating: 4.6
It’s a simple puzzle game with a lot of nonograms. Your goal is to arrange a picture having at your disposal only the information about how many fields is painted in each column or line. Nonograms originate from Japan. They are pictures created on a grid, kind of like pixel art. Each nonogram in this game has been carefully crafted and solving them is engaging and satisfying. It might seem difficult at first, but once you learn the basics and practice, you will get better at it, and it will be a great way to kill time.
This game is not infested with ads, and it has a nice online feature. Every logged in player can post their own nonograms for others to play. Logging in also allows you to sync progress between devices and play this game on your computer by using a web browser. This is probably the best nonogram app on the Google Play Store.

Soul Knight
Price: Free
Publisher: ChillyRoom

Google Play rating: 4.5
Soul Knight is a great mobile roguelike and, on top of that, highly addictive. You can see that the developers put a lot of effort into improving the game. It offers a variety of locations, heroes, and weapons. Each floor is randomly generated, so no two runs are the same. Every few floors, you encounter a boss—each location has several different bosses that you can face randomly. Every boss has unique special attacks that require different strategies to avoid. The game isn’t overly difficult, but it’s not too easy either. Beating it takes some practice, good dodging skills, and choosing the right type of weapon for your playstyle.
You can spend countless hours playing Soul Knight. Personally, I recommend playing with a controller, if possible, as the game supports it. However, it’s not required, and the touch controls are also enjoyable.

A simple yet probably the best mobile public transport simulator out there. In this game, you take on the role of a city bus driver or taxi driver, with dozens of vehicle models to choose from, keeping you entertained for hours.
The only downsides? The basic graphics and AI that sometimes act unpredictably. But overall, it’s a solid game.
SkisoSoft also offers driving simulators for other vehicles, including trucks, police cars, fire trucks, tour buses, ambulances, and garbage trucks. Their games are generally well-made, with the only drawback being the graphics’ quality.
